Bayreuth-Düsseldorf-Milan PPE Student Conference
Students and faculty from the University of Milan, the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, and the UBT departments come together for the 1st Bayreuth-Düsseldorf-Milan PPE Student Conference.
The format includes 9 student papers, 3 from each department, with commentators from the other departments.
The conference is kindly supported by the PPPA programme of the University of Milan, the Department of Philosophy at the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Bayreuth.
Call for Papers: 1st Bayreuth-Düsseldorf-Milan Student PPE Conference
The PPPA programme of the University of Milan, the PPE program of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, and the University of Bayreuth's Philosophy & Economics Programme, invite submissions from both BA/BSc and MA/MSc students for the first 1st Bayreuth-Düsseldorf-Milan PPE Student Conference. The conference will take place on July 19th and 20th, 2026, in Bayreuth. The event will be followed by the PPE Europe Annual Conference on July 20th to 22nd.
Papers on any topic in the area of Philosophy, Politics, and Economics will be considered for presentation at the conference, with priority given to papers at the intersection
between these disciplines. Submissions should be between 2,000-4,000 words and include an abstract of 150 words. Submissions should be sent no later than March 15h, 2026 to the email address: ppe-student-conference-2026@uni-bayreuth.de. Please include “Bayreuth-Düsseldorf-Milan Student Conference” in the subject line. You should remove all identifying information from your submission and include a covering letter with your name, university, degree title, year of study, and contact information.
There will be nice papers (3 Milan + 3 Düsseldorf + 3 Bayreuth), and invited students will have free access to the PPE Europe Annual Conference.
